Our Newest Song

We have just released Tom Campbell’s Jig on Spotify. Written by Dave and featuring Bill on Mando, Patrick on octave mando and Dave on fiddle, this song is a tribute to bandmate and STP founder Tom Campbell. Patrick was the recording engineer.

Happy Birthday, TC!

River Dave

We are very pleased to announce our release of River Dave, the story of a man who was just trying to get along. This represents the first compositional collaboration (long overdue) between Patrick and Dave.

First read the story of River Dave here.

STP on KMUZ

Here is a big thank you to Kurt Dugan, host of “Up in The Holler” on KMUZ Community radio for featuring our recording of this lovely French waltz in his November show.  For audio buffs, we used a high strung guitar (only the thinner strings of a 12 string set) tuned to open D, and overdubbed a second open D guitar to get the sound of the backup.  That’s Bill Perry leading the charge on the mandolin.  The tune is on our CD “Saturday Night Tradition” and can be found on Spotify, YouTube and other streaming services.
